Bodyguard Productions, Inc., the owner of the rights to the film “The Hitman’s Bodyguard,” filed copyright infringement lawsuits against Chicago-area defendants. No area of the country is harder hit by these cases than Chicago. More of these cases are filed here than anywhere in the United States. The ISP subpoena letters are the first step taken by companies like Bodyguard Productions in unmasking and identifying people they claim wrongfully downloaded and distributed their movie. If you got a letter from Comcast about a subpoena from Bodyguard, they have told the Court that someone from your home was caught sending out a piece of their movie and it was intercepted by their forensic expert.
